Join Derrick Jackson, Director of Community Engagement and Community Outreach Worker Ashton Marr from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office for a discussion of the state of youth drug use in Washtenaw County. Jackson will also discuss prevention measures that can help parents help their children avoid drugs and alcohol as well as activities that have been successful in steering kids into positive lifestyles.

KinderConcert is a free, 30-minute concert designed especially for children 5 years and younger. Members of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra join child movement expert, Gari Stein and pianist Kathryn Goodson for a guided introduction to the instruments of the orchestra. September will feature Karen Donato demonstrating the violin. This fun, interactive learning environment allows children the opportunity to enjoy music while encouraging learning and creativity. Everyone is welcome.
